About Us

We are a group of people who are interested in benefiting communities in remote areas with up-to-date medical health care facilities and services, that are, to a great extent, simply not there.
Primarily we want to focus on developing a hospital for the Mokokchung district in Nagaland.

Sungtiakum Jamir

I come from a region of India called Nagaland and was drawn to work in rural communities in India as a medical doctor after completing my studies in Assam, India. I completed my post graduate studies in the field of Rural Surgery so that I could be more useful in resource deficient areas.

Nadia Jamir

I’m a medical doctor with a specialist degree in obstetrics and gynaecology, specializing in operative gynaecology.

Fritz & Christella Wälchli

Greetings! Fritz and Chrystella have spent most of their adult lives in Asia in both Nepal and India. Our daughter Nadia was born in Nepal and we can see how her formative years living in the environment of a medical mission in an extremely poor country had a definitive influence on her future life. Fritz is a machine mechanic as well as vehicle mechanic. He ran the INF medical mission’s workshop for 8 years in Pokhara, Nepal. After studying in Korntal Germany he became a Bible teacher and taught in India at Dehradun Bible College (DBC) in Uttarakhand with emphasis on Mission and Old Testament. Chrystella was busy bringing up 4 lively children in Pokhara, Nepal. Later she trained in USA in developing literacy materials with Literacy and Evangelism International. She constructed readers and lesson books in 12 different Indian languages while living in Dehradun. She also taught English at DBC. Training Teachers and checking the literacy classes all over India has been her passion ‘til the present time. Since the hospital project began Fritz has been a very active participant in the build with solar installation and electrical work to name but a few of the daily challenges. Chrystella has been involved in the daily life of our amazing granddaughter Elisa from babyhood to starting school. It’s the best part of being in India! We spend up to 6 months of the year in Setsu in our apartment which is located on the hospital compound. Medical personnel are greatly needed and are welcome here with us!
